Shri Vinay Mittal is an officer of Indian Railway Traffic Service 1975 batch. Before taking over as Chairman Railway Board he has been working as General Manager South Eastern Railway, and prior to that as General Manager, North Western Railway. He also worked as Additional General Manager, Central Railway. In his distinguished career with the Railways, he has held many important posts such as: Divisional Railway Manager - Bilaspur, Chief Passenger Transportation Manager, Chief Freight Transportation Manager, Chief Commercial Manager, Chief Operations Manager of Central Railway and Executive Director, Traffic Transportation (Movement) in Railway Board. During his tenure as the Chief Operations Manager, Central Railway could achieve highest ever freight loading. He is also credited with significant improvement in punctuality performance of suburban and non suburban trains. He was part of the Indian delegations which visited USA and China in 2005-06, in connection with with Wagon/Bogie design and Freight Operations.

Mr.R.K. Gupta is an Officer of 1977 Batch of Indian Railway Service of Engineers. He graduated in Civil Engineering from the erstwhile University of Roorkee (now IIT, Roorkee). He also holds Masters Diploma in Public Administration. He has worked on Indian Railways in many capacities and on various important positions on Northern Railway, North Central Railway, North Eastern Railway, North East Frontier Railway, South Eastern Railway and Railway Board including that of Executive Director, Divisional Railway Manager and Principal Chief Engineer. Prior to joining Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation in May, 2011, Mr. Gupta was heading the prestigious New Line Rail Project in the State of Jammu and Kashmir as Chief Administrative Officer. This project is one of the most difficult projects in terms of logistics and terrain in the world and majority of the alignment passes through tunnels and very high and long bridges. Mr. Gupta has been associated with various Expert Groups including that of UN sponsored Expert Group on improvement in ‘Project Management’ on Indian Railways and the UK sponsored project on ‘Strategies for Bridge Rehabilitation’ on Indian Railways. Mr. Gupta has done considerable work on ‘Mechanization of Track Maintenance’ on Indian Railways. He has been trained in India and abroad in various fields and has visited many countries in this connection.

Mr. ANIL KUMAR DUTTA is an Officer of 1977 batch of IRSEE. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Physics from RANCHI UNIVERSITY and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Technology & Electronics from INDIAN INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE, BANGALORE. He is an ELECTRIC TRACTION INSTALLATION SPECIALIST with 18 years’ experience in PROJECT MANAGEMENT of Railway Electrification projects of 25 KV & 2 X 25 KV AC traction system from execution to policy formation. He has also implemented Transfer of Technology in the field of 3 phase propulsion technology of Electric Rolling Stock (Loco & EMU). He is also a resource person at Indian Institute of Coal Management, Ranchi in the field of Vigilance Management, Motivation & RTI, with keen interest in Administrative Laws & NURO LINGUISTIC PROGRAMMING (NLP). |

Mr. Anshuman Sharma belongs to 1984 Batch of IRSE. He has a Bachelors’ Degree in Civil Engg. and Masters’ Degree in STRUCTURES from University of Roorkee (Now IIT, Roorkee). He is a Bridge design and execution specialist with 16 years experience in planning and execution of Railway Construction projects. He was in-charge for maintenance of Civil Engg. assets and co-ordination of various divisional activities of Secunderabad and Guntakal divisions of Indian Railways for 7 years. He has published various technical papers on Bridge Construction techniques. He has attended various national and international seminars including International Convention on Optimizing the Wheel/Rail System at Salzburg, Austria and China Rail World Summit at Beijing. He was associated in design and execution of 3rd Godawari Bridge consisting of 28 spans of 100m Bow String Arch Bridge. He was actively associated with construction of J&K Rail link project which involved construction of 11.0 Km long tunnel across Pir Panjal range. He had worked as supervisory Board member for various DMRC projects executed by IRCON. He received Railway Ministers Award in 1995 for completing the execution of 100 Km long construction project which included two Important bridges of each more than 700m length in a record time of 8 months. |

Mr. H. D. Gujrati took over as Director Operations & Business Development, DFCCIL on 29th Nov 2012. Prior to this Mr. Gujrati, an Indian Railway Traffic Service officer of 1985 batch, was working as Executive Director, Traffic Transportation (Steel) in Railway Board, Ministry of Railways.
A post-graduate in Physics, he also holds PGDIM in Marketing and MBA in Finance, He has extensive experience in the bulk and container transportation. After joining the IRTS, he had held various important positions in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board), erstwhile undivided South Eastern Railway (The blue chip Railway of Indian Railways), Northern Railway, Konkan Railway and Container Corporation of India. He has worked as Executive Director –Freight Marketing, Director-Traffic Transportation, Director–Safety in Railway Board and Group General Manager for strategic Planning, International Marketing and Operation in Container Corporation of India.
Recipient of Railway Minister’s Award for his contribution in freight operation, Mr. Gujrati’s areas of interests include Supply Chain Management and Transport Planning for bulk and containerized cargo. He passionately worked for use of information technology in rail transport for transparency and efficient management to make it responsive to the needs and aspirations of the communities

Mr. Gajendra Haldea is currently working as Adviser to Deputy Chairman and Principal Adviser (Infrastructure) at Planning Commission. He heads the Secretariat for the Committee on Infrastructure (CoI), constituted under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister with the objectives of initiating policy changes to ensure time-bound creation of world class infrastructure. He has served on the Boards of National Thermal Power Corporation, Indian Railways Finance Corporation, Central Bank of India, Bank of India, and Andrew Yule and Company besides being a member of several committees on infrastructure. Mr.Gajendra Haldea did his Bachelors in Economics and Law from the University of Rajasthan and has a Fellowship from the London School of Economics.

He had worked in capacities such as Collector, Kolhapur, MD of Development Corporation of Konkan Ltd, Officer on Special Duty, Bombay University, Secretary Public Health, Secretary Urban Development, Govt of Maharashtra, MD of SICOM, Director General of Shipping, Secretary Coordination in Cabinet Secretariat, and he retired as Secretary Shipping in Govt of India on 31.12.2005. After retirement, he was appointed Adviser, Ministry of Shipping during July 06 to July 07. He is now on the board of a few companies such as Mundra Port & SEZ Ltd, Wartsila India Ltd, Shreyas Shipping & Logistics Ltd, Ocean Sparkle Ltd, Tata Teleservices Maharashtra Ltd etc. |

Shri Bhaskar Gupta, joined Jadavpur University as faculty member in 1985. Currently he is Professor and formerly Head of the Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering Department there. He has published more than 250 research articles in refereed journals and conferences and co-authored three books on advanced research topics, published internationally. He served as referee and Guest Editor to different international journals. He has supervised 12 doctoral theses and is presently supervising 15 more. Further, he successfully completed 8 research and consultancy projects including collaborative ones with countries like Japan and Turkey and is presently continuing with 7 more. Dr. Gupta is Senior Member of IEEE, Fellow of IETE, Fellow of IE (India) and Life Member of SEMCE (I). He served as Chair of AP-MTT Chapter, IEEE Calcutta Section for three years and as Chair, Students Activities, IEEE Calcutta Section for four years. He is on the Board of Directors of Railtel Corporation, Government of India Enterprise. He is the Chairman of West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board. He has been named in Marquis 2009 Edition of Who's Who in the World. |

Shri R. S. Sharma, is the former Chairman and Managing Director of India’s premier national oil company- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd (ONGC). He was also concurrently the Chairman of ONGC Videsh Ltd (OVL), Mangalore Refinery & Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) and five other ONGC Group companies during 56 month period May-06 to Jan-11. Mr. Sharma joined the ONGC Board as Director (Finance) in March, 2002. Before joining ONGC Board, he was appointed as Director (Finance) of ONGC Videsh Limited – a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC in January, 2002; the position he concurrently held till November, 2002. He became the Chairman and Managing Director of ONGC in May, 2006. Mr. R S Sharma, a Fellow Member of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India and an Associate Member of the Indian Institute of Bankers, has participated in various management programmes in India and overseas. Prior joining ONGC in the middle management level, he has functioned as Regional Head of Finance for overseas operation of another PSU. Mr. Sharma has also had over 10 years banking experience with specialized experience in Credit Appraisal. Mr. Sharma was intensely associated with various industry associations and federations in highly responsible capacities. He continues to hold the position of Chairman-FICCI Hydrocarbon Committee An honorary fellow of Institute of Directors (IOD), All India Management Association (AIMA) AND Project Management Association of India (PMA), Mr. R S Sharma had led ONGC and Group companies to a commendable height of corporate excellence. It is not only that Mr. Sharma was instrumental for ONGC getting numerous awards and accolades for its various activities; he himself was also conferred with several prestigious awards and accolades. Out of his personal accolades few are worth mentioning, like CNBC TV18 CFO Award in 2005, 2006 and 2007; Amity Corporate Leadership Award in 2009; CII Outstanding performance Award in 2010; ICONOCLAST CEO Award in 2010 and Star Lifetime Achievement Award for HR Leadership in February, 2011. |

Shri Girish Pillai, Mr. Girish Pillai, Officer of 1981 batch on Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) has joined as Executive Director (Infrastructure), Railway Boar on 17.10.2012. He is a Post Graduate in Mathematics from the University of Delhi. Mr. Girish Pillai is the nodal officer for the Dedicated Freight Corridor Project in Railway Ministry and is also part time Director of the Board of Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited (DFCCIL). His current assignment also includes long term planning for Infrastructure creation over Indian Railways, Coordination for implementation of PPP projects, International Railway cooperation and developing Long Range Decision Support System (LRDSS) for Railways.
In his career of over 30 years with Indian Railways, he has worked extensively at Divisional, Zonal Railway and Railway Board level. Before joining as Executive Director (Infrastructure), he has worked as Chief Operating Manager/Western Railway, Divisional Railway Manager/Mumbai and Executive Director (Perspective Planning), Railway Board.
